About Me
Dr Jamie Hall
My name is Jamie, and I have over 20 years experience teaching and leading in outstanding grammar schools and World Class status academies. I have been a private tutor since 2013 and an examiner since 2012, and I passionately believe in the grammar school system. But I am equally passionate about making first-class, expert tuition affordable and accessible to all families of autistic and ADHD learners.
Bee Clever began because I kept meeting brilliant children who were being underestimated.
Children who were curious, capable, and full of potential — but who struggled in environments that weren’t designed with neurodivergent learners in mind. I saw clever kids losing confidence, masking their difficulties, or being told they “just need to try harder”. And I knew they deserved better.
After years of teaching, examining, and supporting families, one thing became clear:
when you give ND learners the right structure, the right pace, and the right emotional safety, they thrive.
Bee Clever was created to offer exactly that.
I built this programme around three core beliefs:
• Every child learns best when they feel safe and understood — especially ASC/ADHD learners who need predictable routines, calm teaching, and low‑pressure challenge.
• Small groups can be transformative when they’re structured intentionally, with clear scaffolding, visual supports, and micro‑retrieval woven into every lesson.
• Families deserve honesty, expertise, and a tutor who genuinely “gets” their child, not a conveyor‑belt approach to the 11+.
Bee Clever is my way of bringing together everything I know — my PhD research, my grammar‑school teaching experience, my ND‑affirming training, and my commitment to accessible, high‑quality education — to create a space where children can feel clever, capable, and proud of themselves.
This isn’t just tuition.
It’s confidence‑building. It’s identity‑affirming. It’s a place where clever kids learn to believe in their own brilliance.
